Reservation terms
What you get for £49, in plain terms.
Grumble is in development. A reservation is not a purchase of a finished product, and we would rather be blunt about that here than have you discover it later.
What a reservation is
Paying £49 reserves you a place in the Founding 50 and fixes your total price at £299. It is not an order for a product that exists today. If you would rather wait until there is something to ship, that is a reasonable choice and you are welcome to join the mailing list instead.
What you pay, and when
£49 today. The remaining £250 is charged about one month after your Grumble is delivered — not before. That order is deliberate: it means you have the device in your hands, and a month to use it, before you have paid in full.
To do that we securely store the card you pay with. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. By reserving, you authorise us to charge that stored card £250 approximately one month after delivery. We will email you before that payment is taken. If the payment fails, or your bank asks you to authenticate it, we will send you a secure link rather than simply retrying.
Delivery
We are targeting January 2027 for the first production release. That is a development target, not a guaranteed date, and hardware timelines move. Founding members get honest progress updates, including the setbacks. If the date slips materially we will tell you, and you may cancel for a full refund of your £49.
If we never ship
If we conclude that Grumble cannot be built to a standard worth selling, we will say so and refund every £49 reservation in full. We would rather return the money than ship something that does not work.
Cancelling and refunds
Your £49 is refundable at any time before your Grumble is dispatched. You also have the cancellation rights given to you by UK consumer law, which are in addition to anything on this page and are not affected by it. See our refund policy for how to ask.
What the product will and will not do
Grumble is a general wellness product. It is not a medical device, it is not a diagnostic tool, and it does not provide medical advice. It is being designed to help you notice patterns between what you eat and how your gut feels. Nothing it shows you should be used to diagnose, treat or rule out a health condition, and it is not a substitute for talking to a doctor.
Because this is a product still being developed, the final design, materials, features and app may differ from anything shown on this site. Product imagery is illustrative.
Founding 50 benefits
Founding members keep the £299 price, get priority access to the first production run, and are invited into product research. If Grumble later introduces a subscription, founding members will not pay it.
